Led by experienced therapist, educator and ministry leader Dr. Tony Wheeler, the institute combines decades of counseling, teaching and church leadership experience to serve individuals, churches and communities throughout Kansas and beyond.

Learn from Dr. Tony Wheeler, a licensed therapist, educator, author and ministry consultant with more than three decades of counseling and teaching experience.
alt="Tony Wheeler, Therapist">Dr. Tony Wheeler has been a therapist since 1990 with his own private practice, counseling individuals, couples, and families through mental health issues and crises. He’s held various positions as a therapist including being the Director of Counseling on staff at Highlands Church in North Scottsdale, a Clinic Director for New Life Clinics, and teaching academic courses at Pepperdine, Kansas State University, Moody Bible College, Moody Seminary, Barclay College, and Phoenix Seminary. He’s developed and taught two full master’s programs in Family Ministry. He is a contributing author in the book, Marriage: It’s Foundation, Theology, and Mission in a Changing World (Moody Publishing, 2018). He was a speaker with Dr. John Trent for 16 years—author of The Blessing with Gary Smalley, teaching DVD courses with him and developing resources with organizations such as Focus on the Family, the American Association of Christian Counselors, and presenting the faculty training at Moody Bible College. He earned a Master’s in Family Therapy/Studies from Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ and a Ph.D. in Family Life Education and Consultation from Kansas State University.
