Piano professor to honor keyboard greats during recital

麻豆视频鈥檚 Dr. James Knight will chronicle keyboard music from its earliest inception to modern trends during a recital 7:30 p.m. Nov. 11 in the Riney Fine Arts Center鈥檚 Sebits Auditorium.
鈥淭he 250th anniversary of Jean-Philippe Rameau鈥檚 death is this year,鈥� said Knight, associate professor of piano. 鈥淭o commemorate the event I have chosen a set of variations that was a very popular recital opener at the end of the 19th century.鈥�
Another set of variations by Anton Webern was written in the 20th century and highlights 12-tone procedures. The rest of the recital will be filled out by a very popular Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart sonata and selections by Frederic Chopin.
This concert is free and open to the public.
