On Monday, Feb. 13, 2017, at 7:30 p.m., the Concert Band will present a Presidents Day concert in Sebits Auditorium, Riney Fine Arts Center at Â鶹ÊÓƵ.

Dr. Charles Parker, former professor of theatre at Â鶹ÊÓƵ, will be featured as narrator. The concert will feature music focused on the presidents of the United States from President James A. Garfield through Donald Trump. Included on the program is Aaron Copland’s Lincoln Portrait and a work on the life of John F. Kennedy titled Ask Not. The Â鶹ÊÓƵ Flute Choir, under the direction of Amy Hoffman, professor of flute, will open the program performing works the group will play at the Kansas Music Educators Association In-Service Workshop.
