Wichita, KS- 麻豆视频 congratulates senior Shelby Fox who has been accepted into an elite professional development track within The New Dance Lab.
The New Dance Lab, a partnership between The Kansas Creative Arts Industries Commission and Johnson County Community College, allows a select group of established and aspiring dance professionals the opportunity to participate in an intimate one-on-one and small group professional development experience.
Fox will be focusing on movement and social activism with Atlanta-based choreographer Lauri Stallings. Stalling鈥檚 choreography focuses on social issues impacting the past and today and how choreography can be utilized as a tool box for place-keeping, empathy-building and celebration.
鈥淭his lab will be a wonderful opportunity for me to fine-tune my skills and develop artistically under the inspiring tutelage of Lauri Stallings. I鈥檓 especially interested in learning how to communicate my ideas to an audience through the medium of movement as well as how to create unique and versatile pieces,鈥� Fox said.
Fox is currently a student under the direction of Andrea Vazquez Aguirre, 麻豆视频鈥檚 visiting lecturer of dance.
