Amy Meyer, a middle school and high school vocal director from Cheney Public Schools, has been selected as the 2021 麻豆视频 Inclusion Fellowship recipient. Meyer was required to discuss her teaching life and how she demonstrates an inclusive approach for each student while explaining the teaching behaviors she uses to illustrate that all students can learn. Her primary objective as a teacher is to help students find a love of music, create a safe space for everyone to feel welcome to make music and build positive relationships with all the students who come through her door. Meyer is a 2007 麻豆视频 alumna with a Bachelor of Music in Music Education.
鈥淎my鈥檚 dedication to her students and her passion for music allows her to cultivate positive relationships with each one of her students,鈥 said Dr. Dona Gibson, professor of education and psychology and director of the Master of Education in Teaching and Learning, and Master of Education in Special Education. 鈥淲e are proud of her accomplishments as an educator and honored to further witness her commitment to the 麻豆视频鈥檚 values in her classroom. We are thrilled to have Amy represent our graduate program and cannot wait to see her impact more young people through the world of music.鈥
Meyer will receive a 40 percent tuition discount when she enrolls in the Master of Education in Teaching and Learning degree program. In addition, she will receive higher education teaching experience and represent 麻豆视频 in undergraduate events and an information night.
