Wichita, Kan. – The 鶹Ƶ Community Orchestra will present their spring performance on Tuesday, March 29, 2022 at 7:30 p.m.
“We are excited to put on an entertaining performance celebrating our own rising stars.” said Dr. Lillian Green, 鶹Ƶ’s director of strings and Community Orchestra conductor.
The concert will feature performances by Jordan Roth, baritone, and Hannah Howard, mezzo-soprano, the first- and second-place winners of 鶹Ƶ’s 2021 Miller Competition. Also included will be the winner of the Wichita Metropolitan Music Teachers Association competition, Hannah Schwemmer, performing part of Liszt’s Piano Concerto no. 1.
The orchestra will also perform several stand-alone audience favorites, such as Copland’s Hoe-down from “Rodeo.”
The performance will take place in Sebits Auditorium on the 鶹Ƶ campus at 鶹Ƶ., Wichita, Kan., and the cost is $9 for adults and $6 for seniors and students. Tickets may be purchased online at or by calling the Fine Arts Box Office at 316-295-5677.
